It’s that time of year again (you know, when you’re about to chase the salt and the sand, and hunting for the best bikinis becomes your second full-time job).

We get it, and not just because we have dozens of bikinis in our now-overflowing closet bins. Though we love one-piece swimwear, bikinis are the quintessential summer staple that, impressively, come in a variety of styles to suit your body type — making you feel and look great. (Related: Best maternity swimsuits and best tummy-control swimsuits).

The New York Post compiled the hottest list for the hottest season: the best bikini brands of 2023, made perfect for this year’s hottest temps. From Amazon and Frankies to Aerie and Madewell, these retailers are all making us swoon.

Paired with the beach cover-ups on our wishlists (and, of course, facial sunscreens and mineral SPF for protection), these bikinis are pure magic — and we can’t wait to rock them this season.

OK, if you’ve been sleeping on Amazon — it’s time to wake up. The sells-everything retailer we all know and love has hidden gems as far as bikinis go, including the best-selling Mooslover High-Waisted Bikini ($19) and Blooming Jelly High-Waisted Bikini ($36).

We’re still heart-eyes over the best Amazon swimsuits under $35 we rounded up, with some of our favorites being the red-hot Ruuhee’s Push-Up Bikini ($29) and Pink Queen’s High-Waisted Twist Bikini ($16).

Abercrombie’s having a comeback (though we don’t think its cult-favorite classic styles ever left). We’re adoring the brand’s Seersucker Tie-Strap Underwire Bikini Top ($55) paired with the Seersucker Tall-Side High-Leg Cheeky Bottom ($35).

Moreover, much like the brand’s Curve Love Jeans (that we reviewed and loved), its swimwear line doesn’t skip on the curvy girls. The Curve Love High Apex Underwire Bikini Top ($55) and matching Mid-Rise High-Leg Moderate Bottom ($32) are solid-colored, comfortable and especially fitting for larger bust sizes.

What’s more, the 90s Underwire Bikini Top ($50) and Tall-Side High-Leg Cheeky Bottom ($35) are super on-trend right now.

Without a doubt, Aerie has some of the sweetest styles for summer (with most sets less than $50!) Some of our favorites include the tropical vacation-ready Crinkle Voop Binding Bikini Top ($37) and much-loved Crinkle Voop Cheeky Bikini Bottom ($27) to match, along with the feel-good Seamed Longline Triangle Bikini Top ($15) with the matching Banded Full Coverage Bikini Bottom ($15).

One of the most unique bikinis we’ve found (and great if you love all things frilly and lily for your collection) is the brand’s Lace Scoop Bikini Top ($15) and flattering Lace Full Coverage Bikini Bottom ($15). It’s too adorable to keep quiet about.

It’s difficult to pick a favorite bikini brand, but Cupshe is at the top of our list. How could you pass all the Instagram-worthy cute sets up that are (1) affordable and (2) standout for summer?

Specifically, we love the beach-ready Tie-Dye Wash Textured Scoop Neck Top & High Waist Bikini Set ($27) that comes in a decadent pastel hues and hugs in all the right places. Also coming in hot is the brand’s Underwire Top & High Waist Cheeky Bikini Set ($27), the retro-inspired option that we’ve all been waiting for.

If you want to take a page from the Italian riviera, you’ll adore Cupshe’s Yellow Wrap Front & Floral Print Tie Side Bikini Set ($34) and Paisley Boho Plunging Bralette & Cheeky Hipster Bikini ($24) just as much.

As one of the most-looked-for brands on the market, Frankies Bikinis is a retailer to rave about. Designed for all types of wear (whether it’s lounging by the pool or taking a dip in the ocean), its subtly sexy styles are highly coveted and oh-so-worth-it.

At the top of our list is the brand’s Nick Triangle Bikini Top ($65) — a collaboration with Sydney Sweeney — and matching Tia String Bikini Bottom ($80) — the set you’ll wear 24/7 this summer. Plus, its beautiful pretty-in-pink Colby Eyelet Shine Bikini Top ($100) and ruffled Pippa Eyelet Shine Bikini Bottom ($95) make up that compliment-worthy two-piece worth snagging.

If you love the blue tropical look, you’ll want to grab the Camilla Floral Triangle Bikini Top ($85) and cabana-ready Jenna Floral High-Waist Bikini Bottom ($90) ASAP.

We’re all heart eyes for Cleobella — the luxury swimwear brand that’s absolutely worth that hard-earned coin. Take its Maude Top ($138), for example, paired with its Alice Bottom ($98) to match. We’re about to book a five-star resort vacation just looking at its sweet, tangerine-inspired art deco print.

For some fun in the sun (with emphasis on the fun), add the Mae Top ($138) and Alice Bottom ($138) to your cart. It’s a vibrant magenta, keenly detailed number you’ll surely want to flaunt.

Even better, use code NYPOST25 for 25% off your order, made just for you.

For supportive and chic styles designed for any age and body size, White House Black Market has you covered for your next beach trip. Shop the Crossover Underwire Bikini Swim Top ($41) for a paisley-dotted option that taps into “The White Lotus” aesthetic, paired with the matching High-Waist Wrap Bikini Bottom ($35).

We also adore the brand’s U Hook Bikini Top ($41) — a simply black, to-the-point style that’s flattering and similar to your favorite sports bra, along with the matching High-Waist Wrap Bikini Bottom ($35), of course.

This summer, you definitely shouldn’t sleep on Soma. The brand has some of the cutest styles — in a variety of price points — that’ll make you feel good during all of your sun-speckled outings. For instance, the Tie Front Bikini Top ($51) coupled with the matching Convertible Bikini Bottom ($36) — offering you two-in-one styling options.

More, the Bleu Rod Shady Days Underwire Bikini Top ($95) is specially designed for D and DD cup sizes and has a serene, ocean-inspired Bleu Rod Shady Days Sarong Hipster Bottom ($59) to match.

Lulus has our heart — whether we’re shopping for nude heels, linen pants or seamless bodysuits. And, its bikini selection is just as good.

Steal the following before they’re gone: the Moments in Malibu Underwire Bikini Top ($38) and Moments in Malibu Side-Tie Bikini Bottoms ($38). You’ll feel your best in this posh two-piece, and that’s the goal (truly).

We love Lulus’ Cabo Charmer Ribbed Underwire Bikini Top ($50) with the matching Cabo Charmer Ribbed Bikini Bottoms ($44), along with the vibrant Parker Triangle Bikini Top ($44) and the Nova Bikini Bottom ($40) to complete the look.

Meet the most simplistic yet glistening bikinis we’ve seen yet. We love the brand Sauipe Swim for its unique take on the typical two-piece set, as is the case with its Elise Glittered Lurex Bralette Bikini Top ($108) and matching Jenna Classic Brief Lurex Bikini Bottom ($106). Though a splurge, the brand makes it seamless to pick and choose multiple style options with the same color or material.

Additionally, we can’t stop glossing over the Leah Reversible Triangle Bikini Top ($103) and Val Reversible High Waist Bikini Bottom ($105), all because of its sexy and comfortable design that hugs in all the right places.

Madewell: the Queen Bee for Classics, and the ringleader for simplistic, minimal-minded bikinis (also, positively inclusive for plus sizes). Shop the best-selling Tie-Back Underwire Bikini Top ($70) and paired Retro High-Waisted Bikini Bottom ($45), or the gingham-printed Underwire Bikini Top ($65) and matching High-Rise Crossover Bikini Bottom ($55) if you’re feeling neutral with a hint of summertime.

Also stellar for summer? Madewell’s top-rated Twist-Front Bikini Top ($30) and Adjustable String Bikini Bottom ($30), both of which have the most striking mini-check print that screams “it’s time to tan.”

Oh, how much we adore Revolve — from the best shorts and white dresses to waitlist-inducing blazers and wedding essentials.

Namely, PQ’s Ruched Triangle Bikini Top ($80) and matching bottoms ($72) are the definition of the perfect pink suit. If you want a universal white two-piece to wear over and over again, pick up the best-selling Indah Ruched Tube Top ($84) and Bali Med Coverage Bottom ($88) to add some texture and pizzazz to your look.

Additionally, we recommend KYA’s Coco Reversible Bikini Top ($85) and matching bottoms ($85) — a nude and black, turning-heads set that deserves all the fire emojis we can muster.

Some dub SHEIN to be hit or miss (which, from personal experence, it can be), but its swimwear never disappoints. The Floral Print Knot Back Underwire Bikini Swimsuit is a steal for just $11, as is the Plus Mono Bikini Set for just $2 more. The Allover Floral Knot Bikini ($10) is the black and flower-printed two-piece we’ve been looking for, too.

We recommend picking up one for every day of the week while you’re at it — once you start, you won’t be able to stop.

Target has been a game-changer for women’s bikinis for years, and for a good reason — they’re accessible, affordable and come in prints and colors for every summer day on the calendar.

For options to buy in a single add-to-cart motion, Shade & Shore Underwire Bikini Top ($18) and Ruffle High-Leg Extra Cheeky Bikini Bottom ($13) have the loveliest red solid-colored hue to snag. Plus, Shade & Shore’s Ruched Bralette Sling Lift Bikini Top ($16) and matching Ruffle Cheeky Bikini Bottom ($13) come in a variety of colors to add to your solid-colored collection.

For a more patterned look, pick up the Shade & Shore Underwire Chain Strap Detail Bikini Top ($21) and matching Cheeky Bikini Bottom ($13) for that snakeskin print we can’t get enough of.
