Roger E. Greenberg, a personal injury lawyer and longtime partner with the Silver Spring law firm Greenberg & Bederman, died Sept. 13 at his home in Rockville. He was 69.

The cause was a heart attack, said his wife, Dr. Judith Greenberg.

Mr. Greenberg began his law career as an assistant corporation counsel for the District of Columbia, where he handled many juvenile cases. He was a partner at the now-defunct Washington law firm Chaiken, Karp and Greenberg for about a decade before co-founding Greenberg & Bederman in 1985.

Roger Everett Greenberg, a native Washingtonian, was a 1962 graduate of Coolidge Senior High School. He was a 1966 political science graduate of the University of Maryland and a 1969 graduate of George Washington University law school.

He was a founding member of the Master Marketing Group, a national association of personal injury lawyers, and a member of the American Arbitration Association and the American Association for Justice. He was recognized as a top-rated attorney by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2010 to 2013.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dr. Judith Schlossberg Greenberg of Rockville; and two children, Mitchell Greenberg of Washington and Wendi Greenberg of Los Angeles.
